Chelsea have shown interest in signing Andre Onana from Ajax but face competition from Barcelona and PSG.
Chelsea have been dealt a blow as Andre Onana looks set to rejoin his former club Barcelona and the goal keeper has caught the eye of Frank Lampard.
Chelsea could sign a new goal keeper in the summer given the poor run Kepa Arrizabalaga has had.
The Chelsea first choice goal keeper was had a save percentage of 56% and was dropped for five games before being restored in which he featured in two games before the corona virus pandemic.
A move to Stamford Bridge is not being considered, but Onana will fancy a move back to Nou Camp where he left for Ajax back in 2015.
Nou Camp officials fancies Onana because of his age, his champions league experience and his ability on the ball. Ajax want 35 million pounds but could left waiting for Barcelona to negotiate the fee.
But Barcelona consider the fee to be too high for a player who would be considered second choice behind Marc-Adre Ter Stergen. They also need to sell the current second choice goal keeper Neto who was bought from Valencia.
Onana, whose contract expires by the end of 2022, previously said he would like to play in England one day.
He also told BBC Sport that he knows the competition for places in the premier league and everyone wants to play in the premier league but but you need to get a chance when called upon.
According to Onana, he said that he is happy with being the first choice goal keeper for Ajax and he also reiterated that the premier league is not for everybody.
