One day after the death of Bollywood superstar Irrfan Khan, we also got news of Rishi Kapoor’s death after spending two years in self-treatment.
Rishi Kapoor, 67, died at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai, India.
His wife and Neetu Kapoor were nursing him when his life traumatized, and his brother Randhir Kapoor announced his death.
The famous star, Amitabh Bachchan, expressed his shock at the death in a message posted on his blog:
“Rishi Kapoor .. he’s gone .. up front .. I miss you!”
In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer, which led him to go to New York City and stay in the hospital for more than a year. But he returned to India in September 2019 after a brief recovery.
Rishi Kapoor is the son of the late Raj Kapoor and has siblings Randhir, Ritu Nanda, Rima Jain and Rajeev Kapoor.
He made his debut film Bobby with Dimple Kapadia in 1973, and has been seen as a child actor in films like Shree 420 and Mera Naam Joker.
He has been among the most beloved films released such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar, Sargam, Karz, Bol Radha Bol and many more.
He has also appeared in other films Kapoor and Sons, D-Day, Mulk and 102 Not Out
