According to report, Manchester United are bidding for 35 million pounds Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius.
The Brazilian tops the primeira Liga scoring chart with 15 goals so far in 19 appearances in the league and 20 goals in all competitions this season.
Vinicius 25, has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time.
He was sold from Napoli for a reported fee of 15 million pounds and his contract is set to expire by 2024.
The Portuguese media now claim that Solkjaer is interested in signing the player when the transfer window open.
Vinicius has an 88 million pounds release clause inserted in his contract. Although this figure is seen as highly unrealistic due corona virus and limited funds by clubs to make expensive acquisition.
However, it is understood that United are willing to test Benfica’s resolve by tabling a 35 million pounds offer for the player. The red devils have already made a Portuguese Signing in the person of Bruno Fernandez.
Bruno Fernandez has seen himself as fans favourite following impressive spells at Man Utd since his arrival in January.
Vinicius career has kicked off since joining Portuguese club Real SC in 2017 from Brazil outfit Anapolis fc.
Vinicius scored 20 goals in 39 appearances for his former club before moving to Napoli the following year. Successful loan spells at Rio ave and Monaco convinced Benfica to make the transfer deal possible which has paid off for the Portuguese club.
