Frank Lampard hopes Chelsea will extend the deal by June this year to end the Premier League season.

Willian and Olivier Giroud are among the players whose contract expires at Stamford Bridge on June 30.

However, the guidelines put in place because of the corona virus have allowed players to play their remaining games in the Premier League.

Next week it is expected that Premier League clubs will continue to discuss ways to end the 2019-20 season.

Chelsea players are expected to return to training in mid-week, where they will start training at individual training before engaging in group training.

Lampard said that as soon as the Premier League season is back, many players will be tired of playing more games, so they need extra hands.

The Premier League was postponed in March, with Liverpool currently top of the table with a 25-point gap between second-placed Manchester City.

Chelsea are fourth on the table after 29 games with 48 points and are in the Champions League this season.
