In Bauchi State, the Eid Prayers will also be held

Bauchi State has recently joined a number of states that have allowed the public to hold Friday and Eid ul fitr prayers.

The president of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Ladan Salihu, disclosed this on his Twitter account on Tuesday. But he said there were no holidays, according to the order issued by the state governor Bala Mohammed.

It is expected to be celebrated on Saturday or Sunday, and already states such as Kano, Borno, Jigawa, Adamawa and Gombe have given the opportunity to open the mosques to hold prayers in order to end the fast of Ramadan.

But the Nigerian government is struggling to ease the lockdown put in place by the various state government saying “we are in a state of  fighting against the coronavirus in the country.

By Thursday, 224 people had been confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus in Bauchi, while five had died and 130 had  recovered, according to NCDC figures.
