China’s parliament has signed a “full-blown security law” that aims to reduce Hong Kong’s independence.

Of the more than 3,000 members, only one does not trust them.

The President of the Hong Kong Carrie Lam says the nation will be assured that human rights have not been violated or their rights will not be denied because of the enactment of the law, but many feel it is the case, which aims at reducing Hong Kong’s powers, to include hong Kong as part of mainland China.

The law will impose penalties on those who are currently involved in violent demonstration s, and will enable the Beijing government to send spies to the area for the first time.

The China authorities also did not disclose the full scope of the law.
