Ighalo has a message to his club Shanghai Shenhua for him to see out his loan spell at Manchester United before returning to China.
The striker loan deal at United is set to expire on Sunday and Manchester United and Shanghai Shenhua have not been able to conclude on the extension of his loan deal.
However, Ighalo is eager to finish the season with Manchester United and has made a plea to his parent club to allow him to finish the season after making an impressive start to the season with eight appearances before the season was suspended due to the covid19 pandemic.
The former Watford striker see this as an opportunity of a lifetime to play for his boyhood club.
Ighalo is optimistic that a loan deal extension will be struck after what he described as positive discussion between the two clubs with the hope of a new deal before Sunday’s deadline.
Shanghai Shenhua may consider a permanent deal for Ighalo to remain at Old Trafford but United are only interested in a loan deal.
So this means that Solkjaer is interested in extending his loan deal. Odion Ighalo signed a 4 months loan deal with united which would have taken until the end of the season.
