Seven people dead in a road accident in Ilorin

Seven people have reportedly been found dead in a road accident at Luhmo village just along the Olooru/Bode Sadu express way in Ilorin, kwara state.

The incident which happened yesterday early in the morning, involved a Daf truck which collided unto a Toyota corolla car.

The Road Safety sector Commander, Gbenga Owoade said that seven people were involved in the accident of which all seven people died.

He said that they got a call early this morning of a road traffic accident which happened at Bode Sadu/Oloru route, at a village named Luhmo.

He also said that the officers at the Olooru unit command responded quickly to the incident and the crash was fatal which involved a Daf truck and a Toyota Corolla of which seven people were involved in the crash.

He said of the 7 people that lost their lives were 4 males and 3 females.

He went further to explain that the cause of the accident was as a result of over spending and lack of concentration from both drivers.

He concluded that the dead bodies of the victims has been kept at the University of Ilorin teaching hospital mortuary.
