Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has issued a statement on Friday to continue Friday prayers in the state following a week-long curfew because of Covid19.

The secretary of state, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, made this known in a statement in Katsina.

Mustapha Inuwa said that the Christian community could also go to their places of worship every Sunday and to travel between the local government areas.

But it requires the public to continue to take precautionary measures, such as wearing nose mask and washing hands with soap and using hand sanitiser.

As of Thursday night, the NCDC said 358 people had contracted coronavirus in Katsina state, while 14 died and 51 others have been discharged.
