Man killed brother over soft drinks in Alaba

A young man named Chisom Eze killed his 19 year old younger brother, Henry, when they fought because of a bottle of soft drink in thier place of abode on Johnson street, Alaba area of Lagos state.

It was understood that Chisom who is 21 years old left the drink in the house and went out to do something, but when he came back, he saw that his younger brother Henry, had used the opportunity to consume the drink he left in the house.

Annoyed by his brother’s action, Chisom went inside the kitchen to grab a knife and he used it to stabbed his younger brother on the neck.

However, her sister who was an eye witness to the incident raised an alarm which drew the attention of neighbours and eventually Chisom was apprehended.

Efforts to save Henry proved futile, as died because he has lost a lot of blood due to the injury he sustained during the attack.

Footage shows his body being taken away by sympathisers and those crying as a result of his death.

When the Lagos state P.R.O Bala Elkana was contacted, he said that Chisom had stabbed his younger brother to death because he drank the soft drink he left when he went out of the house.

He concluded by saying that Chisom have been arrested and he is now under police custody and undergoing police investigation.
