Agents of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) arrested 19-year-old Yaba College of Technology diploma holder in Lagos, for the brains of blackmailing Queen Salawa Abeni with nude photos. The suspect, Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel, a resident of Brentfield Avenue, Peace Estate, Magboro, Ogun, was picked up by a team of decoy rapid response teams last week on Thursday after three days of monitoring.

Police Chief Hakeem Odumosu instructed the commander to respond quickly to DCP Olatunji when an unidentified person tried to blackmail Salawa Abeni sometime in April 2020 Disu arrested the suspect. After a technical diagnosis of the complaint, the decoy team narrowed the scope of the suspect a few days later. A source close to the team revealed that due to the popularity of COVID 19, the suspect could not be picked. The suspect admitted in a statement to the police that he was the behind-the-scenes planner who attempted to publish nude photos of Salawa Abeni in exchange for money, adding that he was involved in the plan alone.

He added that after downloading Salawa Abeni’s nude photos on his phone, he obtained her mobile number from her Instagram page. “On April 1, 2020, I sent a few of her photos to chat with her and called her. “My intention is to negotiate a few dollars with her and let me destroy the photos. “I thought everything would be fine until the next day, I heard the news of the blackmail on the radio. I was with my mother. She even cursed the blackmailer she didn’t know because I was the brain behind.

“I sneaked away, destroyed the memory card, and then threw my phone and SIM card into the nearby Magboro wetland. Since then, I never mentioned it to anyone again and called Ms. Salawa Abeni again. Commenting on the arrest, CP Hakeem Odumosu said that no one was allowed to commit crimes or escape from any country in Lagos to other countries in Nigeria to avoid the arrest. He advised guardians to monitor their wards, emphasizing that the Internet is a fertile ground for opportunities, but the National Command does not allow criminals to use it as a place to attack Falagos. “Waka Music Queen” Salawa Abeni released her nude photos after being threatened by suspected blackmailers on April 1.
