Governor Zulum suspend staff at Ngala General Hospital

The governor of northeastern Borno state, Babagana Umara Zulum, has suspended staff at Ngala General Hospital for leaving their post.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, the governor said that the those suspended included doctors and nurses and pharmacists.

He took the decision after making a surprise visit on Monday at 11am, saying he was not happy with the workers’ attitude to work despite being well paid.

Ngala is a border town to Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
