Edo 2020: Obaseki warns Oshiomhole to stay away from APC primaries

The Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has told the APC National Chairman, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to steer clear from the APC primaries in Edo state because, he is interested in recontesting for the governorship elections.

Obaeski made this known to newsmen after indicating his interest and obtaining the nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, on Wednesday.

He noted that it is against natural justice for a man to be judged in his own case.

Governor Obaseki disclosed that him and his fellow governors visited the APC National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in an effort to strengthen the party and to promise him that they remained willing to build the party.

Governor in the meeting expressed that him and his colleagues (Governors), can’t stand and watch the party they built together get destroyed. He advised that all party members should drop their egos and work for the party.

He also said that it is wrong for any human being to try to play God.

Governor Obaseki said that he’s definitely sure he will win the primaries irrespective of the mode chosen for the primaries in Edo State.

He also rebuke a false claim that he purchased Governorship nomination form for the PDP, reiterating that he was a party man to the core.
