Nigeria’s Minister of Electricity, Engineering and Housing Babatunde Fashola clearly explained
Rivers State approved a 78.9 billion naira refund.
According to his explanation, it is obvious:
- The refund applies to the federal roads constructed by the states since 1999.
This is not some preferential treatment in Rivers, but a guarantee of political reelection in all states of the country.
The federal government has previously returned 550 billion guilders to 31 other states, and Rivers is the last state to return.
National debt is transferred from the previous government to the current federal government.
Now that the facts are clear, let us stop arguing and think about how to develop our state.
