The Nigerian Army has killed 70 gunmen and cattle rustlers in Kachia forest in Kaduna state.

Nigeria’s military confirmed this by saying that the militants were attacked by Operation THUNDER STRIKE and Operation ACCORD after receiving information on a specific location.

The security forces confirmed that 70 bandits were killed, while others escaped with injuries. The soldiers followed the robbers through the village of Gidan Maikeri in Chikun Local Government Area to repel them.

Militants and cattle rustlers have long used the forest as their hiding place, the army said.

The military has also called on local residents to report those who have been seen with wounds and bruises especially if they have any suspicions.

Kaduna is one of Nigeria’s most populous states that is frequently attacked by militants and kidnappers, especially in Gwari area.

Also, in recent days, the Kaduna-Abuja highway has become a trap for travelers who are being kidnapped by kidnappers.
