315 new covid19 cases have been recorded in Nigeria, according to official figures from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control. The number of infected people is now 12,801.
Lagos, worst hit state have recorded in the last 24 hours, 128 new cases, a day after there was no record of any new case since the outbreak.
The number of people who have so far been infected with the virus in Lagos, is 5,895.
Also, in Abuja, 34 people have been diagnosed with the disease. More recently, the number of cases has increased in Nigeria’s capital.
Seven people were also reported dead from the disease on Monday. As many as 81 patients have been discharged from hospitals around the country.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that in Rivers State, 32 people have been infected, while in Edo, 28 people have also been infected.
Oyo, the second worst hit state in the southwest, has seen 22 people infected with the virus. There are noe 387 infected people in the state.
In Kaduna, the number of infected people has increased to more than 20. The number of infected people in the state is now 363, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
In Gombe, 13 people were infected, Ogun recorded 8 new cases. The Plateau has so far recorded 5 new covid19 cases.
In Kwara and Delta state, seven people have recovered from the virus on Monday.
The number of infected people has risen to 1,000 in Kano after five people were infected on Monday. Bauchi registered 4 cases, while Katsina recorded 2 new cases of coronavirus.
