Liverpool have won the EPL with seven games to spare

Pep Guardiola’s Players of will hand the new English Premier League champions, Liverpool a guard of honour at the Etihad stadium on Thursday.

This is Liverpool’s first EPL trophy for the past 30 years since they last won it in 1990.

Pep Guardiola said they are going to give a guard of honour to the champions. He said they will greet Liverpool, when they arrive at the Etihad, in an incredible way. He said they were going to do it because they deserve to be champions.

However, Guardiola is adamant to say if he will still sign a contract extension when his current contract expires at Manchester City in 2021.

At the the time when his contract expires he would have spent five seasons at Man city, which is a little bit longer than his previous spells at Barcelona and there is rumours of him searching for another challenge elsewhere.

Speaking before Sunday’s FA Cup quarter final match against Newcastle, Guardiola expressed that he is hungry to win silverware for this part of the season as well as next season after which he will sort his future at Manchester City.

He expressed satisfaction as the Manager of Manchester City. He said he doesn’t give too much thought on things that are still far away.
