President Muhammadu Buhari has warned political office holders as well as other government officials not to use the privilege to give undue advantage to anyone looking for government jobs and other favours, stressing such an act is unethical to the character of his administration.
Lai Muhammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, noted that Mr. President has repeatedly warned following the continuous reports of fraudsters using the business cards fake referral letters from the presidential aides and other government officials to beg for employment, contract, and other favours.
He advised Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies not to accept any request from any government officials looking to give undue advantage to anybody seeking for such favours.
He said the Buhari led administration has organized a standardized and disciplined strategy to make sure that the government operates smoothly for all Nigerians, whether in the area of contract procurement or employment.
He said that the system will be allowed to function properly for every Nigerian without any interference.
