Ondo ex-SSG promised to work against Akeredolu second term bid

Mr. Sunday Abegunde just a few hours after his resignation as the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, has been replaced with Mr. Tayo Oluwatuyi.

Governor Akeredolu made the declaration at a weekly press briefing in Akure on Monday.
Mr. Abegubde who resigned through a letter partly read ” I, Honourable Ifeadayo Sunday Abegunde, the Secretary to the government of Ondo State hereby tender my letter of resignation.

” I want to thank Mr. Governor for giving me the opportunity to serve the Government and the people of Ondo State.

It was said that Mr. Abegunde later gave an interview on Crest FM in Yoruba, of which he said he resigned his position because of the way the Governor have been maltreating him.

He also said that he was made to suffer Akeredolu administration because he refused to give any funds while he was in office. He said the Governor have been lying about giving him N5 million every month when he was in office, and the governor is aware that such claim isn’t true.

He narrated that the Governor did not win the 2016 election but they made so much effort to ensure that he become the governor. He said that they were his supporters but they won’t offer their support to him again and he will lose the upcoming elections.

He said that the Governor is making the people of Ondo to suffer and he is not going to be part of it.

The Ondo State Commissioner, Mr. Donald Ojogo said the former SSG is just ranting about and also he should know that he has been replaced and he will not be missed.
