Batwoman found a new lead actress, and Javicia Leslie put on her cloak and cape in the second season of the TV show.
Leslie will play Ryan Wilder, a new “flattering, messy, a bit stupid and untamed” character, who will be named Kate Kay from Batgirl Kate Kane took over.
Kane is played by Ruby Rose, who shocked fans when he withdrew from the game in May.
Leslie’s cast has made her the first black actress to play a role in a reality TV show or movie.
The actress once said she had starred in the American comedy movie “God and Me.” She said: “I am very proud to be the first black actress to play the iconic role of Batman on TV.”
“As a bisexual woman, I am honored to participate in this groundbreaking show, which is a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community.”
Shortly after the end of the first season of the American television network “The CW”, Rose left the role of Batwoman in May.

The actress said that not returning to the show was a “very difficult decision”, which was the first superhero series with a gay protagonist.
Although Deadline reported that her decision had nothing to do with the injury, her travel was one year after she was injured when she filmed the film and she needed emergency surgery.
Rose congratulated her successor on Instagram and wrote: “This is amazing!”
Megan Tandy, the Batwoman actress, said she “watched your star rise in the past year” and added: “You are the craziest dream of our ancestors.”
Actor David Harewood appeared in “Supergirl” as part of the same “Arrowverse” TV show based on the DC Comics character, and he also welcomed Leslie.
Anjelika Washington, who appeared in the “Stargirl” series, declared this “the golden age of black superheroes.”

Initially, the producer announced that he would rewrite the role of Kate Kane. But in June, they issued a decisive appeal for a new role.
Entertainer Caroline Dries then explained that she made this decision out of respect for Rose. She also denied fans’ speculation about Kate’s “erasure” of the performance plan.
Drex said in a statement: “Kate’s disappearance will be one of the mysteries of the second season.”
“I don’t want to reveal any surprises, but for all loyal fans, please note that LGBTQ + justice is the core of Batwoman, we have no intention of giving up on this.”
The producer revealed that Leslie’s cast said that the new Batgirl would “unlike Kate Kane, Kate Kane, a woman wearing a bat suit before her” instead of “ Stereotypical American hero.” The character is a former drug dealer and now lives in a van.
Leslie’s other honors include the BET drama “The Family Business” (The Family Business) and the 2019 rom-com “Always a Bridesmaid” (Always a Bridesmaid) will debut in the series in January 2021 . “Batwoman” (Batwoman) screened at E4 in the UK.
