A health facility in Lagos State has been shut down by the Lagos Ministry of Health

It was reported that yesterday, the Lagos State Ministry of Health yesterday closed down a private laboratory located in Banana Island, Ikoyi for conducting Covid19 test without the approval of the Lagos State. The Medical Laboratory and Diagnostics Centre was also found within a pharmacy.

The Lagos State Ministry of Health urged resident avoid patronizing any health facility not registered by Lagos State for testing for management of Covid19 cases as such a move will be dangerous to the staff as well as the community.

It said, it is illegal for any health facility that have not registered, to manage covid19 cases. The Ministry has urged the public not to go for any test or treatment to any health facility that have not been registered. It warns the public not to put their health at risk.

It stated that it will continue to make sure that health facilities in Lagos State follow established standards to protect the health of Lagosians.

The Ministry also, members of the public are to co-operate with government the in fight against Covid19 by observing NCDC protocols.

The health centres that have been accredited for Covid19 testing and management are;

  • Syn Lab
  • 54 Gene
  • Medbury Medical Services
  • Biologix Medical Services
  • O2 Medical Services
  • Clina Lancent Lab
