Amazon says it didn’t ban its employees from using TikTok

There are reports circulating that Amazon had ordered its employees that they will no longer be able to use TikTok that access Amazon email. According to what was contained in the message that Amazon issued, it said that employees must delete the app on Friday for security reasons but mentioned that they can continue to use the app in their laptop browsers.

But in a statement released by Amazon, said the message sent was sent it n error and said there not made any decision yet regarding the use of TikTok.

TikTok is owned by Chinese tech company, Byte Dance. The is known for coordinating dances and lip syncing. TikTok has attracted teenagers and adults across the United States and the rest of the world.

The TikTok app was pulled down by India after they had a border dispute with China. Before the ban, TikTok has seen to be very popular among Indian youths.

TikTok has denied it has any links with the Chinese Communist Party. They company said it has distanced itself from the Communist Party and has also employed the services of Kevin Myer, who is the former top streaming executive at Disney, as its new CEO.

Because of national security concerns, TikTok assured the United States Government that it stores data on American users in America and it is not subject to the policies of the Chinese Government.
