The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sonwo Olu, was earlier today the guest speaker at the Lagos leadership virtual conference which was themed: Leading in Extraordinary Times,” where he reiterated that putting on face mask must be the responsibility of every Nigerian.
He said it is imperative that all Nigerians understand the importance of wearing face mask.
He said that he took the responsibility of championing the “Mask Up Lagos” campaign and he knows that it will be an uphill task to strike a balance between economics which has to with peoples livelihood and public health, but he said the people need to play their role in combating the Covid19 pandemic.
He said his administration will continue to engage and communicate with the public at all levels, stressing that everybody must continue to remain vigilant and adhere to NCDC protocol.
The Governor said he is optimistic that we all will come out of this problem stronger and better.
It was earlier reported that the Lagos Government will face mask compulsory for all Lagosians and there will sanctions for those that disobey such order.
