Manchester City have been able to overturn their two year ban from European competitions.
The Court of Arbitration for Sports, (CAS), declared that the decision to ban Manchester City have been rescinded.
UEFA gave the ban in February after it gave a ruling that City had violated the financial fair play rules between 2012 and 2016.
City’s fine have been reduced from 30 million Euros to 10 millions Euros.
In issuing the ruling on Monday, case noted that Man City did fail to cooperate with UEFA authorities but rescinded the decision by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) to ban them.
Man City issued a statement saying the verdict shows that the club is innocent of the charges filed against it with the evidence provided.
The Club appreciated the panel for their diligence and the due process that they followed.
Based on this ruling, it means Man City will be able to participate in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
