Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reshuffles cabinet with the redeployment of three commissioners to other ministries and assigning portfolio to the newly inaugurated commissioner who swung into office at the council meeting today, Wednesday.
The governor highlighted immediately after the inauguration of the newly appointed commissioner that he would reshuffle his cabinet, with bringing in new person into the state Executive council, Idris Garba unguwar Rimi.
The reshuffling of the cabinet was with the immediate effect.
The following are list of the new set, includes:
1. Mahmud Muhammad Dansantsi, moved from Ministry of Commerce to Ministry of Housing and Transport,
2. Barrister M.A Lawan, moved from Ministry of Housing and Transport to Ministry of Justice,
3. Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar, moved from Ministry of Justice to Ministry of Commerce, and finally
4. Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi, the newly appointed commissioner who was posted to Ministry of Works and infrastructure.
Governor Ganduje called on them to be up and doing, as their past records show, he tasked them to remain committed for the overall development of the state.
He also directed them to continue observing Covid-19 protocols as provided by health experts, the governor also accentuated that, they should make sure that the protocols of washing hand with soap and running water, use of Sanitizer, use of face mask and social distancing are obeyed in their offices and homes.
