Messi awarded with his seventh golden boot in La Liga

Lionel Mesi has won his seventh La Liga golden boot which is his fourth in a row after scoring two goals in Barcelona’s victory over Slaves on the final day.

Lionel Messi won as the highest goal scorer with 25 goals to his name which is four clear of Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

The game against Slaves was of no importance since Real Madrid have already clinch the title last week Thursday.

Messi registered two goals in the day with Ansu Fati, Lius Suarez and Nelson Semedo scoring the other goals.

Abdul Fati opened the scoring after Messi, Riqui Puig and Arturo Vidal all hit the woodwork.

This is the first time that Messi have ever scored fewer than 30 goals since Mallorca’s Daniel Guiza 12 years ago.

Barcelona will resume champions league duties when they play Napoli in the second leg tie after a 1-1 draw in Italy.
