An additional 576 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Nigeria

The Nigerian Centers for Disease Control (NCDC) says an additional 576 people have been infected with COVID-19 within 24 hours.

A statement released by NCDC on Twitter on Tuesday, July 21 said the number of confirmed cases in the country has now reached 37,801.

The states with new registered cases include Lagos with 88, 87 in Kwara, 82 in Abuja, 62 in Plateau, 39 in Ondo, 28 in Enugu, 26 in Oyo, 24 in Taraba, 20 in Kaduna, 20 to Ebonyi, 17 to Cross River, 14 to Kano.

The other states include 11 in Rivers, 10 in Ogun, 9 in Delta, 8 in Nasarawa, 8 in Osun, 3 in Katsina, 2 in Imo and 1 in Kebbi and Borno.

The NCDC says 15,677 people have been discharged so far and 805 have died.
