Kano: Court Sacks lawmaker, Magaji Dahiru Zarewa

Pharmacist Zarewa was sacked by the court following the suit filled by the candidate of People Democratic Party challenging his qualification in the re-run 2019 election after a court order that there were irregularities in the first election.

A Tribunal sitting in kano has sacked the member representing Rogo constituency in the kano state House of Assembly under the flag of All progressive Congress, APC. Pharmacist Magaji Dahiru Zarewa.

The Tribunal has immediately ordered the Independent National Electoral commission to issue a certificate of return to the second runner of the election, Jibril Isma’il Falgore of the People Democratic Party, PDP.

Pharmacist Zarewa was sacked by the court following the suit filled by the candidate of People Democratic Party challenging his qualification in the re-run 2019 election after a court order that there were irregularities in the first election.

Zarewa was said to have not met the requirement of contesting, because of his failure to resign as the Managing Director of the Kano state Drugs and Consumables Supply Agency, thirty days slated before the election.
The court also immediately ordered that Jibril Falgore should be sworn in by the Clerk of the state House of Assembly.
