Kano Gubernatorial Candidate Takai: Reason why I defected to PRP




2019 Kano state gubernatorial aspirant Malam Salihu Sagir Takai has revealed that the resolution that led to his defectiion to the People’s Redemption Party PRP was not his self-decision but a collective will of his bunch of teaming supporters
This was coming in a statement by his Media aide in an exclusive interview by the Nigerian Tracker a Kano based-online medium, Mallam Abdullahi Musa Hunguma.

Takai revealed that from the on set he ventured into politics, there have been calls from his teaming followers pleading that he had to come out and serve his home state, Kano State.
He added that these were the chief reasons behind him contesting the 2011, 2015 and 2019 General Elections as a Governorship candidate.

The Nigerian Tracker also revealed that recently the was indications crystalizing out of the mist that Salihu Takai is likely to defect to either the ruling All Progressives Congress APC or the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state.

The Media side retrospects that Salihu Sagir Takai was the gubernatorial bearer in 2011 under All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) but when he couldn’t make it to a finish line his bunch of supporters urged him to stick to his gun and remain in politics so that he would impact on the lives of the people.
“Of all the three contests by Malam Takai as Governor of Kano state, he has never bought a single form as people who are convinced and his capability have bought nominations form for him.

‘’Even when we are about to decamp to PRP in 2019, Malam Takai said we should not go back to PRP with the aim of contesting gubernatorial election but in the end, the Party executives decided to field Malam Salihu Sagi Takai as Kano state PRP Gubernatorial candidate” said Huguma.
