Omotola receives support from fans and colleagues as she battle COVID-19

Colleagues and fans of popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, have continued to shower her with prayers and well wishes after she declared that she had tested positive for Covid-19.

The actress stated that she has stayed away from the media since she was in isolation.
However, she said that she is at the moment recovering and would later share her experience as soon as she fully recovers.

Omotola wrote on her Twitter account, @realomosexy, ‘’Hello all, I know most of you have been wondering where I’ve been. Well, I contracted COVID-19. I have been ill, in isolation and now getting better. Details of this soon.”

Just after she posted her tweet, several individuals as well like singer, Waje, entrepreneur, Adebola Williams and media personality, Mo Abudu, all prayed for her speedy recovery.

@Officialwaje wrote, “Awwww sis. Get better sis.” @moabudu wrote, “Sweetheart, sorry. Wishing you (get) better. All my love.”

@yeshuasownest wrote, “Your healing is perfected in Jesus name. Please, study more of God’s word, build up your faith, refuse fear, and watch God do His work ma. Shalom.”

Omotola who has always voiced her opinions about societal and political issues, also expressed that she was bothered about the many recorded deaths caused by trailers and containers on Lagos roads. She also urged the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to act swiftly in resolving the challenge.

She said, “I have been reading devastating news of how our youths are needlessly dying; getting crushed by trailers/containers. This is disheartening and has made my heart really troubled.

“This can happen to anyone and enforcements can’t be taken lightly on this. Governor Sanwo-Olu, please do something,” her post read.

It was reported that a young lady, named Immaculate Okochu, was accidentally killed by a truck on her back from work on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, when a truck hit her and a motorcycle at Badore in Ajah area of Lagos State. The late young lady who was aged 24, was due to get married in October after she had done her marriage introduction in March.
