The Nigerian ports authority launches the Maerskline Stardelhorn vessel at Onne



The Nigerian Ports Authority disclosed in its twitter handle that it is pleased to announce the successful berthing of the biggest Container vessel to ever call at any Nigerian port.

The Maerskline Stardelhorn vessel is said to be in an overall length of 300 metres, width of 48 metres and was received at the Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT), Onne in Rivers State at 16:20 GMT on Saturday, August 15, 2020.The vessel, which has a capacity of 9,971(TEUs) is a flagship from Singapore.

This new development is part of the Federal Government strategy to decongest Lagos ports and to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
