“You can’t threaten anybody, we own this country together – Bishop David Oyedepo rejects the new CAMA law

David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church has told the government not to bring any law that would disrupt the activities of churches.

President Muhammadu Buhari signed Company and Allied Matters Act, CAMA law on August 7, 2020.

In the new law, Religious bodies and charity organizations would be under the registrar general of Corporate affairs commission, CAC. which would include supervising Minister and could easily freeze the account of the bodies at any time if found wanting.

Bishop Oyedepo Rejects the new CAMA law, says he can appoint a trustee within his church.

The President Buhari Media aid, Lauretta Onochie has responded on her twitter handle saying.

I hope this is not true.
If it is, Oyedepo will have to manufacture his own country and live by his own laws.

As long as he lives and operates within the entity called Nigeria, he will live by Nigerian rules and laws. He will do as he’s told by the lawFace with rolling eyes
