The International Academy of Television and Science has announced Sex for Grade, an investigation from BBC African Eye as one of the nominees in this 2020 News and Current Affairs categories.

The academy make this announcement on Tuesday would announce the winner on September 21, 2020.

Sex for Grades is an investigation that reveals how lecturers from University of Lagos, Nigeria and the University of Ghana sexually assault students for grades.

BBC Africa Eye together with different journalists, including Tropics Nigeria from different West Africa went undercover to reveal how lecturers sexually assualt students for grades

Two journalists from Nigeria are Kemi Alabi and Kiki Mordi that caught two different lecturers from the University of Lagos.

Mordi and Alabi went undercover to reveal how Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu and Samuel Oladipo wanted to sleep with students, not knowing to them that the two students were undercover journalist.

These lecturers were later suspended by the University

The senate has brought back the long-abandoned harassment bill, stating any lecturer caught would get 14years imprisonment.
