Dangote to give the Abuja National Stadium a facelift

Published

on

In a bid to revamp sporting facilities across the country, The Abuja National Stadium, renamed in honour of Chief Moshood Abiola (MKO) by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018, is now getting a facelift courtesy of the Dangote Industries Limited. Dangote Group will be restoring the main bowl pitch and also replacing the scoreboards.

This gesture by the Dangote Industries Limited is in line with the Adoption Campaign launched by the Minister of Youth and Sports, SundayDare in December 2019, to create an avenue for the private sector to support Nigeria Government in its efforts to restore national sporting monuments.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote adopted the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja; while Chief Kessington Adebutu adopted the National Stadium, Lagos.
