It was reported that recruitment is currently ongoing for 774,000 Nigerians which is 1,000 per LGA; unskilled labour for what will be the largest public works Programme Nigeria has ever seen.
The recruitment exercise will cover the areas of road works, sanitation, construction etc. The first phase will run for three months which is expected to commence from October to December 2020. Also, N20,000 stipends will be paid.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has reiterated that all residents within each local government are qualified to register for the program as the use of state of origin will not be considered.
