Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva has signed for Chelsea on a one-year deal, with the option of an extension.
Thiago Silver joined the blues on a free transfer after he played his last game for PSG in the champions league final.

He has been brought by Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard to bolster his defence, which conceded 54 goals last season in the Premier League.
During an interview, Thiago Silva said, “I am so happy to be joining Chelsea. I am delighted to be a part of Frank Lampard’s exciting squad,” Silva said.
“I’m here to challenge for honours and I look forward to playing at Stamford Bridge very soon.”
Silva has played 200 games for PSG during his eight year stay, winning 7 Ligue 1 titles in a row.
Chelsea have been one of the busiest club so far in the transfer market bringing in the likes of former Nice defender Malang Sarr, England left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester and forwards Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
Chelsea is also strongly linked with 21 year old Bayer Leverkusen winger, Kai Havertz.
Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign away to Brighton, on the 14th of September.
