Heavy rainfall creates a big gully at Igbe road, Auchi

Former Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had previously tried to reconstruct and expand Igbe road but there was a problem regarding compensation for residents that will be vacating the area and as a result the project was abandoned and ever since the condition of the road had been getting worse.

A heavy rainfall yesterday at Igbe road, Auchi, Edo State, destroyed properties and created a big gully erosion at Igbe road and as a result rendered the road useless for transportation.

Calls had been made before by residents on the rehabilitation of the road but it has continued to get worse because of government neglect over the years.

Former Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had previously tried to reconstruct and expand Igbe road but there was a problem regarding compensation for residents that will be vacating the area and as a result the project was abandoned and ever since the condition of the road had been getting worse.
