The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) moved 419.66 million shares worth 3.79 billion to bullish trading on Friday.
This contrasted with a turnover of 232.42 million shares worth 1.32 billion Nigerians traded in 3,377 transactions on Thursday, an increase of 80.56%.
The Lasaco insurance company dominated the activity chart with 90.59 million shares worth N 22.75 million.
Zenith Bank lagged behind with 78.59 million shares worth N 1.36 billion, while Access Bank sold 54.48 million shares worth N 357.86 million.
Wema Bank traded 31.53 million shares worth N 17.23 million, while Guaranty Trust Bank exchanged 24.38 million shares worth N 649.03 million.
In addition, the NSE share index continued to rise by 94.62 points or 0.37 percent, closing Thursday at 25,605.64 from 25,511.02 to 25,605.64.
In the same vein, the market capitalization rose by N 50 billion from N 13.308 trillion on Thursday to N 13.358 trillion.
Seplat led the earnings table, growing by N15 and closing at N400 per share.
Guaranty Trust Bank followed with 85,000 and closed at N26.55, while Stanbic IBTC grew by 50,000 and closed at N38 per share.
Guinness earned 45,000 and closed at N14.45, while CAP rose 25,000 and closed at N16.90 per share.
Conversely, NAHCO led the losers’ table with a loss of 10,000 and closed at N2 per share.
Initiations fell 6,000 and closed at 57,000, while Custodian and Investment fell 5,000 and closed at N4.75 per share.
Oando lost 5,000 and closed at N2.25, while United Bank for Africa also lost 5,000 and closed at N6.45 per share.
