Niger East Senator, Musa distributes three truckloads of fertilizers to farmers

Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, who represents the East Niger Senate District, distributed three truckloads of fertilizer to farmers in the nine local government districts in his constituency.

The fertilizers were delivered to the farmers to boost agricultural production in the state.

The nine council districts in eastern Niger include Shiroro, Munya, Paikoro, Rafi, Suleja, Gurara, Chanchaga, Bosso and Tafa.

When handing over the items to the farmers in his zonal office in Minna, Senator Musa, represented by Alhaji Baba Sule Bissalla, said that the state of Niger is blessed with vast farmland and that only his constituency has the ability to feed the entire nation, as it is also blessed with farmland.

“If the farmers in eastern Niger receive the necessary support, they can make an enormous contribution to strengthening the country’s economic performance.

However, the legislator regretted the negative impact of the uncertainty on agricultural activities in the region and urged the federal government to meet this challenge once and for all.

“There is no doubt that insecurity is a major obstacle in the wheel of the farmers in the region. The federal government must therefore find a lasting solution to the problem of banditry in eastern Niger in order to maximize the area’s agricultural potential.

He warned against the diversion of the 1,800 bags of fertilizer and called on the LGS liaison officers to ensure that the fertilizer reaches the affected farmers.

Beneficiaries praised Senator Musa’s efforts and thanked him for his continued support in bringing the dividends of democracy to their constituents.
