Captain Aubameyang signed a new 3 year deal with Arsenal

The Arsenal talisman signed for the Gunners in January 2018 and won the golden boot i n his first full season for Arsenal in the 2018-2019 season.

After putting pen to paper on his new 3 year deal, the captain said, “Signing for this special club was never in doubt.”

“I believe in Arsenal. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.”

Aubayang signed a new 3 year deal to put off interest from other clubs

Aubameyang contract was due to elapse at the end of the 2020-2022 season which means he would have been free for other clubs from January.

The Arsenal striker scored in Arsenal’s first game of the season against newly promoted side, Fulham.

He also scored two goals against Chelsea in the FA Cup final in July, which secured Arsenal’s place in next season’s Europa League.

Arsenal’s boss, Mikel Arteta, also said, “It was important for Pierre-Emerick to stay with us.”

“He’s a superb player with an incredible mentality. Being the player to have taken the least amount of time to reach 50 goals with this club tells you everything you need to know about him and his way of working.

“He’s an important leader for the team and a big part of what we’re building. He wants to be up there with the best players in the world and leave his mark.”

Since when Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borrusia Dortmund, he has scored 72 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions and since his arrival, he has won both the FA Cup and Community Shield.
