The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and his ex wife, Precious Chikwendu, have separated.
The couple, who have four sons, including a number of two-year-old triplets, have been married since 2014.
A family source who chose to remain anonymous, said that the marriage was ended due to a health problem that Chikwendu has been struggling with since her marriage.
According to the source, her health issue was a serious problem and the couple subsequently became less intimate with each other.
Among other reasons which cannot be revealed, the source also stated that they had countless disagreements over “unauthorized outings”.
The source said “Snow White liked to go out without the permission of Fani-Kayode and he could no longer tolerate this”.
The source also denied reports that the union had collapsed due to domestic violence allegedly inflicted on the former beauty queen by the former minister.
Chikwendu’s uncle Okey Onyemachi in a seperate interview, also denied some of the accusations that was circulating.
He said: “I have never seen an incident of domestic violence, but I am aware that they are separate and are not staying together at the moment, but reports of domestic violence are very funny and vicious.
“I am unhappy about the reports and my major concern is the children and why people are cooking up fake stories. The allegations that the kids aren’t chief’s (Femi Fani-Kayode) is a big lie and unthinkable. Precious is my niece and I can confirm that all these stories are false.’’
The couple have been living separately for many months now.
Precious, affectionately called Snow White, was born in 1989 and is a model, actress and former beauty queen.
She represented Nigeria in the Miss United Nations World Beauty Pageant in 2014.
