Liverpool gave a real statement of intent on retaining the Premier League title with a deserved win at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea keeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga had a day to forget.

Liverpool were already in complete control even before Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was shown a red card just before the end of half time after fouling Mane as the last man in defence.

Referee Paul Tierney initially gave a yellow card but after a review by VAR and checking the monitor, he came back to issue Christensen a red card.

Mane afterwards punished Chelsea’s defence with two goals during the second half as Liverpool controlled the game for the majority of the game.

Mane first goal was a header from Roberto Firmino’s cross while he chased down Kepa, forcing him to make an error which then led to his second goal if the game.

Chelsea also in the game missed the opportunity to pull one back after Jorginho missed a penalty from the spot, as Liverpool shot stopper, Allison, pulled an incredible save.
