Nigerian Army Colonel killed in an Ambush by Boko Haram terrorist

Nigerian Army Colonel was killed on Monday, September 21 in an ambush by Boko Haram insurgents. Late Colonel Dahiru Bako was serving as the commander of Sector 2 of Operation Lafiya Dole fighting against the Boko Haram insurgents.

Late Colonel Dahiru Bako served for almost 10 years in the North East which spans from 2012 to 2020. The officer was known for his bravery in Yobe and the troubled Timbuktu Triangle.

The Nigerian Army are still fighting against the insurgents in the North East, and it was recalled that almost 300 soldiers resigned from the force.

Earlier today the North Eastern governors told security chiefs that they will no longer tolerate any excuses as the army needs to double it’s effort in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists.
