Hands of an 11-year-old boy burnt by his mother after taking food from the pot without her consent

Report of an 11-year-old boy whose name is Victory came to light, as his hands were allegedly directly burned by his mother in Akva Ibom.

Tropics Nigeria found out that the boy’s hands were burned by his mother because he took the food from the pot without consent.

A source revealed that the wounded boy, Victory, lives with his father, Mr. Clement, a Keke NAPEP driver and his biological mother, an orange dealer, at 33 Afaha Ikot Obio Nkan Street, Udo Udoma Avenue in Ibesipko LGA in Akwa Ibom State.

The event took place on Friday, October 2, after the victim, Victory, went to her kitchen to eat something after his parent was said to have left home without giving her any food.

The mother, who later discovered that the boy entered her kitchen for food on his own, allegedly lit the stove and put her hands on the fire, causing serious damage to his hands.

It was discovered that the body of the 11-year-old shows older injuries related with the burns.

There is a burn scar on his abdomen, buttock as well as other scars on the body.

When the Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer was contacted, he said he was not aware of the child’s abuse case, but would investigate and get back to us as soon as possible.
