Manchester United have signed 33-year-old Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani to help them regain their Premier League and Champions League status.
It is understood the package on the table does not go beyond United’s current pay structure, and he is expected to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
Cavani is PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer after seven years with the club, scoring 200 goals, however, Cavani struggled for game time last season due to the signing of Mauro Icadi.
After his contract expired on June 30, Cavani refused to extend his contract which prompted Manchester United to go for him.
So far he is Manchester United’s second signing of the summer, after Donny van de Beek from Ajax, as they continue their pursuit of Jadon Sancho from Dortmund.
