Interim captain, Raheem Sterling scored the winner and the only goal as Manchester City beat Arsenal.

With Fernandinho on the bench, Sterling was given the captains armband as Kevin de Bruyne was injured.

Raheem Sterling scored in the 23rd minute after Phil Foden’s shot was initially saved.
Arsenal also had their chances in the game but Mancity’s keeper, Ederson, made three superb saves in the first half. David Luiz and Pepe’s shits were off target after taking free kicks from good positions in the second half.

Sergio Aguero played in the game after returning from a long term injury. The striker was lucky to have escaped the referee’s caution after putting his hands on assistant referee, Sian Massey Elis during an argument.
