EndSARS protesters in Nigeria prepare to elect their leader

EndSARS protesters against police brutality have begun preparations to elect their leaders and advisers.

An undisclosed civil rights group had announced plans to cast ballots online.

According to some local media outlets, voting platforms is currently being created for people to cast their votes.

Among those to be chosen are famous musicians, filmmakers, lawyers and political commentators.

Over the weekend, there were more looting and arson attacks across the country and police arrested hundreds of people expected to be arraigned in court.

One of the groups that organized the protests, a coalition of women’s rights activists, has called on the country’s youth to stay home after President Muhammadu Buhari called for calm.
