Liverpool 2-0 Midyjylland

Liverpool secured their second win in the Champions League against Midtjylland with goals from Diogo Jota in the 55th minute and Salah’s late penalty in the 90th minute of extra time.

This puts the Reds two points clear at the top.of group D after Atalanta played out a 2-2 draw against Ajax.

Meanwhile, the Reds face a real defensive problem after makeshift centre back, Fabinho was injured during the game with Jurgen Kloop citing an hamstring injury. This new dilemma has left Liverpool short of experienced centre backs and will now have to rely on the inexperienced players available like Nathan Philips and Rhys Williams.

Jurgen Klopp during a post match conference was asked.if Joel Matip could be available for the game against West Ham, he replied, Klopp said: “I don’t know. We have to see.
“If it was one game at the end of the season, we could probably make one or the other play. But we have a game three days later. The players need a proper build-up.”

Marseille 0-3 Manchester City

Manchester City continue the perfect start to the Champions League campaign with a comfortable victory over Marseille with goals from Torres in 18th minute, Gundogan 76th minute and Sterling in the 81st minute.

Marseille rarely troubled City’s goalkeeper, Ederson with City dominating the game from start to finish. City have amassed 6 points from two games and sits top of the group.

Their next Champions League game is at home to Olympiakos on Tuesday, 3 November.

Borrusia Mochengladbach 2-2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid played out a hard fought 2-2 draw against the host, Borrusia Moncheglabach. Borrusia Moncheglabach led by two goals to nothing in the game before Real Madrid a dramatic late winner with goals from Benzema in the 87th minute and Casemiro in stoppage time.

This result puts Real Madrid bottom of the group with one point from two games.

After the game, Real Madrid’s coach, Zinedine Zidane said, “For me, this draw is not a relief, it’s a deserved result.
“We had an opponent who had us in trouble on two or three occasions, but we didn’t panic and came back with character.
“If we continue to play like that, we’ll do great things and we’ll win matches, that’s for sure.”
