Erdogan vows to take legal action against France

Turkey has vowed to take legal action against France regarding the Charlie Hebdo satirical newspaper, following its portrayal of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PHUH).

Local media in Turkey have reported that prosecutors in Turkey have already launched an investigation into the so-called “devils” newspapers, which publish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

Relations between France and Turkey have soured after French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks in support of a cartoon depicting the Prophet.

President Erdodan called on Muslim countries around the world to abstain from French products in the form of a Muslim solidarity.
