Followers of the Kannywood star debate as they follow the life of Kannywood star Rahama Sadau and have expressed their differing views on the occasion of her seventh year in the Kannywood movie industry.
On Thursday, the star, popularly known as Priyanka for her love for Indian film star Priyanka Chopra, announced that she has been appearing in Hausa films for seven years.
In a message posted on her Instagram page, Rahama Sadau thanked God for her achievements in the seven years she has been appearing in films.
The message contains a picture of her first Hausa film, Gani Ga Wane, in which she played the role of Ali Nuhu’s girlfriend although an elder in the film, Shehu Hassan Kano, has indicated that he wants to marry her.
Since then, Rahama has appeared in numerous films – Hausa and English based movies.
In addition, she has co-produced films for her company Sadau Movies, most notably Mati A Zazzau and Rariya.
Other films she has co-produced and featured in are My Body Blood, White Night, Fire, My Country, A Journey, and The Legend.
Also some of the English films she has featured in her seven year career include Sons of the Caliphate, Up North, If I Am a President, and Zero Hour.
In another development, Kannywood star Rahama Sadau, has once again sparked controversy on Twitter following a series of photos she posted on her Twitter page.
The actress has posted some new photos that have captured the attention of her followers and Twitter users especially in northern Nigeria.
While some criticized the actress for the way she dressed in her photos, others defended her.
Many express interest in the images, while others express dissatisfaction with the images on social media.
The division that has taken place among the users on social media is not a strange phenomenon but this time it has taken on a whole new level.
Most peoole from southern Nigeria praised the photos, while those from the north criticized it.
But this is not surprising, because it has to do with the culture of the two regions.
But several women on Twitter defended the actress saying they did not see anything wrong in the pictures.
